Guided Adventures with Small Hope

Andros is a paradise for birders and naturalists. For over four decades, Small Hope Bay Lodge has had the privilege of exploring and enjoying the bounties of this delicate ecosystem, and sharing it with others. We try to do what we do with conscience and consciously. Small Hope Bay Lodge offers several island and nature tours, providing visitors an opportunity to explore the diverse environment of this Bahamian out island, the fifth largest, and the least developed land mass in the Caribbean and tropical Atlantic area.

Snorkel the Andros Barrier Reef under the guidance of experienced divemasters. Learn about the Pirates, like Captain Morgan, the Seminole and West-African Roots of the residents of Andros in our Guided Tours. Get to know the Birds of Andros including the endemic Great Lizard Cuckoo and the Bahamas Oriole. Explore the crystal-clear waters in the creeks, bays and bights by kayak, sailboat, paddle board or motorboat.

We also have experienced guides who will take you further into the Wild to explore, whether by kayak, boat, on foot, by bike, or by exploring the reef snorkeling. We have special birding tours and we will get you in contact with the locals, their customs, and lifestyles of present and past. The highlight of these tours is the Blue Hole National Park in the near vicinity of the Lodge. These tours involve extra costs and are exclusively available to our guests.
